Since 2018, we’ve impacted millions of lives across Asia and Africa by combining scientific solutions with grassroots participation.
Our mission is to end the global water crisis through scalable, nature-based restoration projects. We believe access to clean water is a universal right, and we work closely with communities, governments, and partners to ensure long-term environmental and social impact.
Nimal Raghavan, a former engineer, founded Mega Foundations in 2019 after leaving his job in Dubai. Born into a farming family in Nadiyam, Tamil Nadu, he returned home after witnessing the impact of Cyclone Gaja to work for his community’s betterment.
His efforts have led to the restoration of 180 water bodies, 500+ Miyawaki forests, and 1.7 million trees planted by 2023. Nimal promotes sustainability and educates communities on preserving clean, revitalized ecosystems.
With over a decade of experience in taste-testing every form of non-veg imaginable, Sujitha now leads operations at MEGA Foundations—mostly ensuring lunch menus are strictly non-vegetarian.
A true non-veg nationalist, Sujitha once nearly listed her adopted child to her friend lenin just to afford a lifetime supply of tandoori chicken. While others plant trees, she plants forks in grilled meat. Still, she plays a vital role in making MEGA Foundations greener... as long as green chutney is served with kebabs.
We collaborate with public and private sectors to build a water-rich India through sustainable ecosystem restoration and inclusive environmental action.
We aim to end rural water crises by restoring water bodies, improving green cover, raising awareness, and ensuring water access for people, animals, and nature.
Founded by Nimal, MEGA Foundations restores ecosystems, addresses climate change, ensures water security, and promotes community well-being.
